INCLUSIVE FASHION – COMFORT, SAFETY AND A MEANS OF SELF-EXPRESSION
The contest opens up new opportunities for people with special needs, helps them to realize their knowledge, skills, professionalism, see demand and feel confident in a modern, stylish image.

This contributes to their easier integration into society, a fulfilling life and professional fulfillment. An important part of the project is international cooperation, which allows for the exchange of culture and experience in supporting people with disabilities.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

01 Identifying best practices in creating modern clothing and footwear that take into account human diversity and are aimed at the real inclusion of people with physical development and health problems in active life

02 Development of the fashion industry in the interests of a wide range of people experiencing various disabilities

03 Facilitating the establishment of creative and business contacts between participants and Russian and foreign specialists in the field of design and fashion
PROJECT HISTORY
APRIL 1, 2022

The first adaptive fashion contest “On the Wings” was held as part of the interregional inclusive festival-competition “WE!”

APRIL 1, 2023

The second Interregional contest of designers of adaptive clothing "On the wings".

For the first time, contestants from other regions took part in the contest.
APRIL 6, 2024

The third Interregional competition of designers of adaptive clothing "On the wings". For the first time, veterans of the SVO and their families took part in the contest.

MAY 31, 2024

Conducting the show "On the Wings" within the framework of the
III Women's Forum in Kuzbass

Professionals who create clothing and footwear collections, develop concepts, select materials, and create sketches taking into account the physical and cognitive characteristics of people with disabilities.

Professionals who create concepts and designs for adaptive clothing for people with disabilities, taking into account the specific needs of users

MANUFACTURERS
Mass and individual manufacturers of products: including sewing clothes, manufacturing shoes adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.

Students of secondary and higher professional educational institutions involved in the design, development and production of adaptive clothing.

1. Applications must be completed by foreign citizens in English.


2. Fill in the "Collection Description" field in as much detail as possible:

Collection name;

Style;

Colors and shades used;

Materials used;

Technologies used;

Number of clothing items;

Description of embroidery and appliqués, etc.


3. Technical requirements for photos:

File format: JPG, JPEG, PNG;

Image resolution: 150−300 dpi;

File size: no more than 10 MB;

Aspect ratio: 16:9.

PARTICIPANT CATEGORY
NAME OF THE COLLECTION, STYLE, COLORS AND SHADES USED, MATERIALS USED, TECHNOLOGIES USED, NUMBER OF CLOTHING ELEMENTS, DESCRIPTION OF EMBROIDERY AND APPLIQUE.
